Hi everyone, I have been involved in 28 years of athletic human performance research in soccer/futbol...

I have found that many of today's soccer standards are not based on any true scientific research and that is keeping soccer at a very low entertainment level.

There has been scientific research on some existing standards, a majority of such research is in regards to cardiovascular type activities and training, but it only researched the standard type of activity, and after achieving some form of measurement of the research data, there was no gain in improving the standard or changing it, so in my opinion, since the research had no initial theory, aside from a measured and documented observation, the research was just an act of homework for students trying to get their masters or PhD in various sports academic certifications...

If everyone is content with today's standard of only 1 or 2 goals scored out of an average of 10 shots on goal, then by all means ignore my comments, and continue on with your sophisticated technical and tactical drills...

If you believe the game has a lot of room for improvement, which is definitely does, then let's talk.
