Going to St. Louis for NSCAA Convention

So who's off to St. Louis this week for NSCAA Convention? I am looking forward to seeing the many of the coaches that I see each year. If you see me wandering around the show floor, please stop by and introduce yourself. If will be nice to meet other SoccerClub users in person. If you know of any important meetings, add a blog entry or add them into the comments below.Take care,Tom McGuinness

  • Friday evening 7PM CST...heading out for the night...interesting place and finally statring to warm(temp is in the teens). Saw a lot of good clinics today, first day clinics were okay. I will try to summarize them tonight or tomorrow sometime. The good: Anson clinic today(was a pinch hitter for the Brazilian Women's coach who was at the WPS draft), Pia Sundhage, Argentine coach from this morning-name escapes me...rode the shuttle with one Tony Meola, catching up with many old coaching friends. The not as good: the sound system in the convention hall is a mess, lunch spots in St Louis are pricey and few and far between(weather hasn't led to a lot of exploration), seemed to be a real low turnout-though the line for the exhibit hall was long last night. Still one day left and sessions to see and players and coaches to meet(All American luncheon tomorrow)
  • Am in St Louis and man is it freezing...had hoped to catch a session last night but am still thawing out...I'll try to update as soon as I can an summarize the clinics. lectures etc, but I hear we have 1 more cold day ahead. Now its off to find food and maybe drink downtown(any suggestions let me know)

PS St Louis reminds me a lot of KC when it was there...hopefully it'll be teeming with more activity tomorrow
